White Bread Recipe

Bread can seem overwhelming to make, but it really doesn’t take much effort!
Ingredients
- 2 cups warm water
- 1 tbs dry active yeast
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbs melted butter
- 2 tsp salt
- 5 cups bread flour (regular will work too)
Directions
- Mix the warm water, yeast, and honey together.
- Set aside for 10 minutes until bubbly.
- Add in melted butter, salt, and only 4.5 cups of flour.
- Mix in a kitchen aid mixer until smooth or knead by hand.
- Add in the other .5 cups of flour and mix until smooth.
- Cover and let it rise in a warm area for 1 hour until the dough is doubled.
- Punch the dough and cut it into two sections (this recipe will create two loaves).
- Use a rolling pin to flatten it and then roll it.
- Place into a buttered bread container, cover, and let it rise for another hour until doubled.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Dough should be hard and golden brown on top
You know the bread is done when it is hard on top and golden brown. Wait an hour in a-half until you cut into it. It should be fully cooled or else it can collapse when you cut into it. The video below shows these steps and is where I found the original recipe!
